You've got this upside down. Crypto is far more environmentally friendly than traditional banking. It's not even close. Banks use far more energy than crypto mining. And that's not including the glass, marble, and brass skyscrapers they build to house all the employees that have to commute to work in cities. Then there's the AC and heat and electricity for those buildings and all the branches. And all the profits from the raping of our planet for monetary gain go to bank shareholders instead of the people who use the banks.
